Richard M. Kohn
Co – General Counsel
Richard Kohn is a founder and senior
principal of Goldberg Kohn. He is
a member of the firm’s Commercial
Finance Group, recognized as one of
the strongest and most diversified
commercial finance practices in the
country. Since 1989, Kohn has also
specialized in representing lenders
in international lending transactions. Since 2002, Kohn has served
as Co-General Counsel of CFA. He
represented CFA in developing the
U.N. Convention on the Assignment of
Receivables in International Trade and
currently serves on a panel of experts
assisting UNCITRAL in developing a
guide to help countries modernize
their secured transactions laws. He
is a Fellow of the American College of
Commercial Finance Lawyers and a
member of the Founders Leadership
Council of the CFA Education Foundation.
Kohn is a frequent author and speaker on
commercial finance topics, often in the
area of international lending.
Andrej L. Suskavcevic
CEO & Secretary
Andrej Suskavcevic joined the Commercial Finance Association, the premier
trade association for the asset-based
lending and factoring industries, in
the fall of 2007 as its chief executive
officer. In addition to CFA’s Management Committee, he also serves on the
Executive Committee. Previously he
was with Financial Executives International, a professional association
for CFOs, controllers and treasurers,
where he served as vice president
of operations. Before joining FEI, he
served as chief operating officer at
Zepter International, an international
cookware and table top company. He
also has experience in banking, insurance and financial services.
Suskavcevic, a Certified Associa-
tion Executive, is an active member of
the American Society of Association
Executives and was a chairman of its
Component Relations Section Council
in 2006. He holds a B.S. in finance and
an M.B. A. from New York University’s
Stern School of Business. He resides
in Flemington, NJ with his wife Lauren
and three children.
Deborah J. Monosson
Immediate Past Chairperson
Deborah Monosson is president and
CEO of Boston Financial & Equity
Corporation. She began her career
there in 1989 as a sales associate.
BFEC provides accounts receivable
financing and equipment leasing to
“high risk” credits. Its clients include
venture capital-backed start-up companies, turnarounds and some Chapter
11s. Prior to joining Boston Financial
& Equity Corporation, Monosson was
with the Syndicate Department at
Dean Witter Reynolds and a Commodity Futures trader at E. F. Hutton. She
has a B.S. degree in business from
Skidmore College and an M.B.A. from
Boston University.
She is vice chairwoman of the
Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation and is also a member of CFA’s
Executive Committee. She has served
on the boards of the Association for
Corporate Growth, Boston, the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association and the MIT Enterprise Forum of
Cambridge.
