Steven Gold founded Allied Financial Corporation in 2003 and manages all aspects
of the company, including business development and portfolio management. Prior
to Allied, he was a senior vice president of
a national commercial finance company
where he co-managed the largest portfolio
of the company. Gold began his career in
New York City where he spent seven years
with Kaye Insurance Associates before
moving to Atlanta. He is an active member
of the Commercial Finance Association, currently serving on the Board of Directors. He
also serves on numerous other committees
of the CFA. He served as president of the
Atlanta Chapter for nearly three years and
remains active as a Board member of the
Chapter. He is also an active member of the
Turnaround Management Association. Gold
graduated from the University of Maryland.
David Grende
David Grende is the chief executive officer
of Burdale Capital Finance, Inc. headquartered in Stamford, CT. Burdale provides
senior secured asset-based financing for
middle-market companies undergoing
change. Prior to starting the Burdale business in the U.S., Grende was a managing director in Corporate Restructuring at Huron
Consulting Group for six years. In that role
he was involved, as a financial advisor, in
major U.S. bankruptcy cases. Prior to Huron,
Grende spent 25 years of his professional
career in asset-based lending as managing
director at Bank of America Commercial
Funding Division, a de novo effort, and prior
to that as executive vice president at CIT
Group/Credit Finance.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in
economics from City College of New York
and is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
Jeremy C. Harrison
Jeremy Harrison heads up the Commercial
Finance unit of Lloyds TSB Bank’s New York
branch, where they are actively involved in
participating in ABL transactions from $10
million upwards. Harrison has been with
Lloyds since 2003, having been previously
with GMAC and GE, and has some 25 years’
experience in corporate finance. Prior to
moving to New York in 2006, he set up the
Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance’s Dublin
office, and before that was responsible
for portfolio management for some of
Lloyds TSB Commercial Finances’ larger UK
clients. He has a Bachelor of Arts in busi-
ness studies and, whilst based in New York,
is charged with developing Lloyds’ North
American ABL Group.
Jerry Hertzman
Jerry Hertzman is a senior vice president
at IDB Bank where he has been employed
for 23 years. He currently heads up the
Managed Assets Division and supervises
the Installment Loans department. Before
starting the Managed Assets Division,
Hertzman ran the asset-based lending department for over eight years. He is a voting member of IDB’s Credit Committee and
sits on the Board of its leasing company.
His career includes over 30 years’ experience in the financial industry, with approximately 10 years in factoring and more than
20 years in banking.
In addition to the Executive Committee, Hertzman is an active member of the
Commercial Finance Association’s Advocacy
Committee and Committee for Cooperation
with Accountants. He also belongs to the
Turnaround Management Association, Commercial Finance League, and the Finance-men’s Club. He earned an M.B.A. degree from
Adelphi University in New York.
