Edward has authored many articles including those for industry publications such as
The Secured Lender, ABF Journal and The
Commercial Factor.
Prior to starting KTC, he was founder
and managing partner of King Interests
and King Investment Trust where he managed investments in real estate as well as
operating companies. Previous to these
activities He was founder and president of
Music Man, a group of retail CD and tapes
stores in cities throughout the Southwest
as well as on several university campuses.
He received a BA in economics and a
minor in business from Southern Methodist University.
Lawrence Klaff
Lawrence Klaff is principal and manag-
ing director of the GB Merchant Partners’
structured loan team of which he was a
founding member. Klaff joined Gordon
Brothers in 1996 and served as senior as-
sociate in the Appraisal Division of Gordon
Brothers. During that time, he was also
actively involved in business develop-
ment and marketing opportunities for all
Gordon Brothers’ businesses. Klaff was
promoted to vice president in 1999 when
business development for Gordon Broth-
ers Group became his primary focus. He
was then promoted to managing director
in 2002 and principal in 2006, devoting his
time to the structured loan team.
D. Michael Monk
D. Michael Monk has been a managing di-
rector and partner of Amerisource Funding
since 1998. He has over 17 years experi-
ence, including senior leadership roles
covering virtually all aspects of the com-
mercial finance field, including credit, un-
derwriting, legal, compliance, operations
management, portfolio risk management,
business development, marketing and
public relations. He has been a member of
the Commercial Finance Association since
1996 and has served on its National Board
of Directors since 1999. He is also a past
president of CFA’s Houston Chapter. Monk
graduated from The University of Texas
at Austin in the Honors Business Program
with majors in finance and marketing and
a minor in astronomy. He also received his
MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Monk serves on a number of private
boards of directors and is involved with nu-
merous trade associations and charitable
organizations.
Glenn Noble
Glenn Noble currently serves as vice
president at Wells Fargo Business Credit,
Government Services Group. Prior to Wells
Fargo, he served as executive vice president of Commerce Funding Corporation.
He has been involved in the commercial
finance industry for 14 years.
He is a graduate of the University of
Maryland with a degree in finance. He has
served in a variety of leadership roles in
the CFA Baltimore-Washington Chapter.
Andrea L. Petro
Andrea Petro is an executive vice president and division manager of the Lender
Finance Division of Wells Fargo Capital
Finance. She is based in Dallas, TX. The
Lender Finance division is a leading
provider of credit facilities starting at $20
million to middle-market, specialty finance
companies throughout North America
such as factors and asset-based lenders,
equipment leasing and finance companies,
insurance premium finance companies,
healthcare lenders, merchant advance
companies, and residential and commercial mortgage servicers.
A 21-year veteran of the asset-based
lending industry, Petro established the
lender finance division of Wells Fargo
Capital Finance in 2000, which was known
as Wells Fargo Foothill at the time, with the
exclusive mission of providing financing
for specialty finance companies. Prior
to joining Foothill, Petro was senior vice
president, national marketing manager of
the Financial Services Funding Division of
Transamerica Business Credit.
Petro earned her Bachelor of Arts
degree from Kent State University and her
Master of Business Administration degree
from the University of Texas at Austin. She
is a member of the Board of Directors of
the Commercial Finance Association, and is
their 2010 Membership Committee chairper-
