Hilco Appraisal Services, LLC: Kenneth
S. Pardue was appointed as senior vice
president - relationship management. In
this role, Pardue will focus primarily on enhancing Hilco’s relationships with private
equity sponsors and hedge funds.
Pardue joins Hilco from PNC Business Credit, where he was a founding
member of the Sponsor Coverage Team
and responsible for development and
execution of equity sponsor coverage in
Chicago, Minneapolis and Wisconsin. He
will be based in Chicago and will report
directly to Thomas Greco.
Hilco Real Estate, LLC, (HRE) has been
appointed real estate advisor to The Great
Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) in
its bankruptcy restructuring. In addition to
its comprehensive role as consultant and
lease restructuring advisor, HRE is manag-
ing A&P’s disposition efforts, including the
immediate sale of 31 leases on stores in
the process of being shuttered. Gregory S.
Apter, president of Hilco Real Estate, will
lead the disposition team. The sale process
will be managed by Ross Block, a senior
Hilco Trading, LLC: Jeffrey B. Hecktman,
chairman and CEO, and Alan S. Elkin, co-founder and CEO of Active International,
announced a strategic alliance between
the companies to market corporate trading services, worldwide.
Under terms of the alliance, Hilco
and Active will contribute their financial
resources and intellectual capital to gen-
erate new corporate trading business
opportunities, establish a presence in
new markets and develop new services
based on the corporate trading model.
Huntington Bank has hired two senior regional directors for the bank’s asset-based
lending division. David Holzworth will support the Western Pennsylvania and West
Virginia markets, while Michael Kempel
will focus on the division’s expansion into
Chicago. Derek Taylor has also been hired
as a senior portfolio manager.
